Health Links awarded $147,000 to improve worker health and safety in Weld County

Health LinksTM has been awarded $147,000 in Supplemental Environmental Project (SEP) funds through the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) for a project to improve worker health and safety in Weld County. Health Links will use this funding to lead an employer coalition, host trainings, grant funding for sustainable workplace health and safety improvements, and offer their assessment and advising services to employers in the community.

Businesses honored for workplace wellness

"Five Colorado employers were recognized for their efforts to keep employees healthy and happy at a ceremony at CU South Denver in Lone Tree on Aug. 17. The event, Celebrating Colorado's Healthiest Places to Work, was presented by Health Links, a program administered through the Colorado School of Public Health. The awards, in their fourth year, went to winners exemplifying the theme 'family-friendly businesses.' Presenters honored recipients with certificates and, in some cases, cowbells."
