    A disturbing trend has emerged in the workplace — the use and abuse of opioids. Opioids are the most widely prescribed pain relievers and the most highly abused prescription drugs. With the opioid crisis on the rise, it's never been more important for employers to stay up-to-date on the latest strategies for managing opioids at work. This presentation will give an overview of the opioid crisis and what can be done.

    After this webinar, participants will be able to:

    • Describe the prevalence of opioid use and abuse
    • Recognize the myths around opioid use in the workplace
    • Identify the warning signs of opioid misuse among employees and understand the referral options
    • Appreciate the impact that opioid misuse can have on workers’ compensation claims and costs
